Chopsticks

This blog will introduce about how to use the chopsticks.

Firstly, open your right hand or left hand, take one stick first and rest one tip of this stick between your thumb and forefinger and hold it, then, let the top of ring finger against this stick and keep the fingers in this position. Now, take the other stick, use your thumb, forefinger and middle finger to hold one tip of it as hold a pencil. But not too tight and it should be roughly parallel to the first stick. Finally, try to hold the under stick stationary, at the same time, let this part of the above stick as a pivot, and use your thumb, forefinger and middle finger to move the other tip of this stick close and leave form this tip of the under stick. Like this. This is the way to use chopsticks, then you can choose what you want to eat by using chopsticks from the plate.

In many eastern countries, chopstick serves people as fork, knife and spoon, because food usually cut into small morsels, and they use it to pick up food and carry it from the plate to the mouth. Now, I think you can do it well too.

Raining Day

Today is a bad weather day. It was raining from the early morning. The bad weather affected people, in terms of feeling, walking and working.
When I woke up, I saw the sky that is too dark. So that I can't get up, even I just stayed on the bed.
At that time, I felt very blue, because of the bad weather. Anyway, I have a very early morning class today, which is staring from 9am. It's too early for me, especially, I just finished the Christmas holiday, I am maybe still relaxing. HO! HO!
I saw the raining weather, I wouldn't get up. If I got up so early, I still can't go to school, because I don't have a umbrella.
At last, I came to the morning class until the raining is stopping. When I arrived the classroom, it was 1 hour after the starting time. Up Set! I don't want that something like this. I won't be happened. Bless Me!!!!!

Australia personality

I'm not very konw the information of Australia personality. The only one is called Cate Blanchett, who is one of the film actresses in Australia.

The opinion for "home"

In general, home is a place where someone lives. There could be one person living alone or with parents and many friends. Home is an organization, a small unit of society. I think everyone has his or her own home. To me, home lets me feel happiness and safety. It is very important in my life.
Home is a strong support and help to us. In my family, there are my dad, mom, older sister, older brother and me. It is a big family. Since my older sister got married, she has founded a new home with her husband. I remember when I was young, my family had a party at home every weekend. At that time, we laughed and played together. It was really a happy time.
Home is a shelter. I find that when people are failing at something, such as losing a job or failing a course, the first place they really want to go might be the place they live, although sometimes there is nobody at home. People usually cannot explain this behaviour before they do it. Without thinking, they just want to go back home.
There are more reasons that make people want to go home. Home is also privacy. It protects your secrets. You can speak in a natural voice and do things in a natural way. All things feel natural at home. It really lets me relax in comfort and safety.
For me, home means more than just family. Now, I live with my roommates in Sydney. It is a lively home. There are four girls sharing a big apartment. We often make big meals together and see horror DVDs at midnight. So, whomever you live with, it is always full of affection.

A funny day

Today, I served meals at a Hong Kong shop in a food court. Because it was a rainy day, the guests were few. About 3:30, a lady came to order a meal. (Actually, it was not time to have a meal.) She is around 40-years-old. I have never seen her before, maybe she was a new client of this shop.
She looked very kind. After greeting me, she asked me to explain the most popular meals of the menu to her. Then she ordered a Mongolian Lamb. For convenience, she sat on a chair that was nearest to the counter of the shop and waited for her order.
She wore a white shirt, a black skirt and a pair of black high-heel shoes. Her foldaway umbrella was a silvery white colour. She might prefer cool hues. She wore a diamond ring on her left ring finger and two pearl rings on her left and right middle fingers. She preferred pearl jewellery to metal jewellery. She also wore pearl earrings and a pearl necklace.
When the meal was ready, she took her meal and chose a seat that was far away from my workshop. Maybe she cannot use chopsticks well or she does not often have Chinese food, because she left the chopsticks in the meal box when she picked up her order. The lady liked quiet, because the place she sat was far from the public television. It was in a corner next to the fire door, where I could not see her. About 25 minutes later, she came back to get some more tissues and say: “Thanks, it’s very nice. See you.” Then she left.

A major work

I'm study in the diploma of communication, one subject of my major is the media. I will talk something about the media policy.
To be first, Australia has often been cited as a country where media ownership is highly concentrated. Australian media policy is marked by pragmatism, which are both its strength and its weakness. Laws and policies are formed in response to actual plans and prospects of the major players. Policies can and do change quickly, they are usually discussed and negotiated in advance with the major players.
And then, there would be a changed cross-media law. The cross-media restrictions prohibit persons from controlling combinations of interests in three forms of media: commercial radio broadcasting licenses, commercial television broadcasting licenses and newspapers.

Home

Home can be where a person lives, but for me, home is where my family is.

I was born in Hunan province in the south of China. My family is in Hunan as well. In China, there is a one-child family policy. My family consists of my father, my mother and me. I was born in China. I grew up there. China is my country, where I was educated. It deeply influences me. Now, I live in Australia. The house where I live is not my home. This is the first time that I have lived on my own. It feels strange, but comfortable.

Although I study in Australia now, my home will always be in China.

Introduction of living place

When you arrive in Sydney, there are four different types of accommodation that you can choose: homestay, studio, share apartment and boarding accommodation. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, depending on what you are looking for.

Homestay—
Advantages: You can communicate with your host, which will improve your English skills, as well as your knowledge of Australian culture and Western food.
Disadvantages: It is expensive. Most homestays are far from the city centre, where Insearch is located. So, you would need to use public transport, or have a car to get to school.

Studio—
Advantages: It is private and comfortable. And you can explore freedom in your studio. It is a good place for only one person to live.
Disadvantages: It is very expensive. For example, if you want to live in a studio which is located in the city centre, it will cost you about three hundred dollars per week.

Share Apartment—
Advantages: It is comfortable, and not as expensive as other options. You live with other people, which is good for your relationships in Sydney. Living in a big apartment, is like having big family. And you would not feel lonely. You and your roommates will take care of each other. Normally, the apartment is furnished, which is convenient.
Disadvantages: It can be noisy, when you want to work or study in peace and quiet.
Boarding Accommodation—
Advantages: It is much cheaper than all other options.
Disadvantages: There is only the bedroom, and you have to share the kitchen and the bathroom with others. You need to think about security.

You can find information about studios, share apartments and boarding accommodation, in the local newspapers. However, if you want to live in a Homestay, you should ask Insearch Student Services, and they will arrange it for you.

I have got a interesting subject on Monday each week. On Monday, my class is started from 12:00. So I can get up later than other working days in the morning. This Monday, I got up very late for the 12:00 class. So I had no time to have my breakfast before I went to school. But, fortunately, When I arrived school, my class had not started. So, I had a few time to get my breakfast, I went to Market City, and bought a Kerbab for my breakfast and lunch as well.
At that time, my friends saw me yummy a kerbab, they felt very surprised. Because Kerbab is a very strong food, which is full of energy. As well as, the quantity of one Kerbab is very much. Normally, eating one Kerbab for a girl is too much.
